The mission of yoga is not for one to gain flexibility but freedom. Afrochick Yoga focuses on more than just perfecting yoga a pose, we also see to it that others understand the practice as it relates them. You can find information not only on everything yoga but also meditation and spirituality, health and wellness advice, pictures, videos, a yoga blog, and much more! Specializing in beginner and intermediate yoga, Afrochick targets those who are self proclaimed yogis and those who've never stretched a day in their life. Those who are fit and "in shape" and those who are overweight. Those health buffs whose looking for support and those who aren't yet on the path of a healthier lifestyle. Hello and sun salutations to you all! I am honored and grateful that you've taken the time to visit the website. As an enthusiast, practitioner and certified instructor of yoga, I am tremendously moved by the opportunity to assist others in achieving their health goals. I take pride and refuge in knowing that I've helped someone push past their limitations and come that much closer to their vision. Although I've been dabbling in yoga for quite some time, it took me going through a personal challenge in order for me to really make it apart of my life. Since then, I've been on a path of understanding self in every aspect; physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, which is the key... Understanding of self. The motto here is 'yoga can be as versatile as you are'. I am here to guide, encourage, and support you on your road to a better you!
